How to align wall decals

We often get asked what are the “tricks” to getting your wall decals aligned in a uniform pattern. There’s no real trick, but there are a few different methods you can use to get your decals perfectly aligned when you’re going for the evenly spaced look. And once you work out your wall measurements and have a plan, it’s really easy!

Below are some photos sent in from our lovely customers showing a few of the alignment methods in action.

Each order comes with detailed, step-by-step instructions to help you out but in the meantime, here are some helpful tips:

• draft a plan on paper or computer for your wall size
• we like to measure down and in from the corner of each wall (between 10-20cm) and use this as your outermost decal point
• work out grid spacing – how many columns and rows work for your space

Need an idea of how many decals you may need? Take a look at the fourth question down in our FAQ section “How many will I need?” to help you calculate your required quantity. This section also contains two examples showing our 4cm Polka Dots on a 3m wide x 2.4m high wall for reference.
